Right on the spot perfect for families 👍

We spent 10 great days at this place. This is the best holiday apartment I have ever stayed in (and I was in many). It is very spacious, well equipped, and the owners are extra nice. The inside yard with the lawn and pool is an extra bonus, and the kids used it a lot. And of course the main attraction is the beach so close. You just open the yard back gate and go for a quick surf check, and if you decide to go in, there are stairs down the cliff straight to good surf spots (Lagide, Gigi).
The apartment was very clean when we arrived, there is an outside shower to wash your wetsuit and board, and there was even a mop so I could keep it tidy. Since we had a long stay, the owner had a cleaning arranged at the middle of our stay, which was very nice, they also change the linen and towels. There is a small supermarket, and many restaurants in a few minutes walking distance. Overall great experience.

Great location and spacious house, very clean.

The house is great. It is very big and very well equiped. It is in a fantastic place just on the beach. We had a wonderful vacation and we will repeat next year for sure!

Die Unterkunft können wir nur empfehlen. Große saubere und schön eingerichtete Zimmer, perfekt ausgestattete Küche, großes Badezimmer und geräumiges Wohnzimmer. Der Garten mit Pool ist toll, vor allem mit Kindern. Alles ist Babyfreundlich bzw. -gerecht ausgestattet, angefangen vom umzäunten Pool bis zu den Gittern vor der Treppe, Bereit bestellter Kinderwagen, Stuhl und Strandspielzeug. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen, nicht zuletzt, weil das Haus direkt am Meer liegt. 5 Sterne!

We stayed at Catarina house for 10 days. The place was excellent and we had a great stay.Everything is exactly as described in the site. Luciana and Fernando are super good hosts and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn't find anything better. We highly recommend it and we will definitely visit the place again.

Place is as described, walkable to everything you need in Baleal... if you’re looking to surf this is a great place to stay.

It was - once again - a great stay. The appartment was very comfortable, with plenty of space for all of us, well equipped with everything you need for a stay in Baleal and all rooms were absolutely clean. Of course, the hosts Fernando and Luciana were nice and of great help to us. I can highly recommend the appartment, the hosts and Baleal.

This stylish, functional and large apartment is located minutes from a spectacular beach and shoreline. Fully equipped kitchen, good bathrooms, good beds, and wonderful hosts. We travelled by car, and that made it easy access to Peniche, nearby Óbidos, Caldas da Rainha, and other places. We spent 3 days here. Wonderful hosts, great price. Highly recommended.

Excellent apartment. It was very spacious, with a large kitchen, living areas and large bedrooms. It was also very clean (spotless!), well equipped and had excellent wifi. The location is great. You have a few surf schools within a 2 minute walk and you can walk to do a surf check for several breaks. Actually you can do a surf check of two surf breaks from the front and rear balconies! Or you could use the private beach access to walk to the beach. The hosts were very responsive and communication was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would return! Highly recommended!

Great place and great hosts. The location is very convenient with a very short walk to the beach (50 or 150 m depending on beach, which is nice if you are carrying a surf board), very short walk to a small but good enough supermarket as well as surf rental shops. The apartment is very nice, well equipped, and with lots of space. Fernando and Luciana are excellent hosts, always responding very quickly to e-mails, service-minded, and easy to get along with. We would definitely rent from Fernando and Luciana when we come back next time.

Great apartments with everything that may be needed. Very helpfull host + there was a note with a full-guide of nearby places, cafes, supermarkets, usefull phones, etc. Very close to surfcamps and spots. BBQ inside the courtyard for evening-friends-parties.

Nice and spacious apartment which is located perfectly. The beach is just behind the house and the grocery only 100 m away.
We stayed for two weeks and hardly needed the car.
Luciana and Fernando are extremely friendly and even arriving at 2 o clock in the morning is uncomplicated.
We will surely come back.

We stayed in this apartament for one week in the period between septempber and october, in four people. All the things were very good, as promise in the website. The apartament is very near the surf spot, and near a supermarket, but the position is good also to go to Peniche, 5 minutes by car!
The house is perfect for four/six adults, very nice and clean.
I hope to go again next time!

A lovely place to stay! It was great that surf boards and wetsuits were welcomed and accounted for in planning of the house set up. Awesome to walk straight onto the beach.

Comfortable House only 2 Minutes from the Beaches. Nice pool in the garden. Perfect for 2 couples and more adults. Kitchen is full equipped. 2 Bathroom. Internet work in the whole house for 6 person. Supermarket only 200 meters. Very nice contact. Check in and out without problems. Very good place to stay in Baleal!

The apartment is superbly located (the beach at the back is a short 3-minute walk), well looked after and provides all necessary amenities (within the apt, the pool and BBQs in the garden and all sorts of things for the beach, incl. a much-needed windbreaker). All rooms have access to balconies (both front and back), hence providing extra chill-out space. Luciana and Fernando also provide a very useful 'manual', filled with great tips for making your stay even better (restaurants, bars, shops, etc.). I was greatly impressed by their professionalism and would highly recommend staying at any of the properties they provide. Excellent.

This is a great apartment in a perfect location, ideal for large families wanting to be able to take it easy and within walking distance of everything. The back door faces the pool and the surrounding area of grass is great for sitting out on, especially if you have small children. Luciana did an excellent job of getting us settled in, ensuring that we had everything needed. Fernando made the whole booking process very easy, even arranging for us to have a cot set up and ready for our 7 month old. Nothing felt like too much trouble! We would definitely stay here again.

A great beach house for multiple people. Luciana was extremely helpful at check in and all the info necessary is clearly provided. Direct access to a brilliant beach, easily able to walk to shops and restaurants.

Fernando and Luciana were fantastic from start to finish. We were met by Luciana who greeted us and showed us around Caterina House. She gave us all the information so that we could enjoy our stay with out having to do any research. Caterina house is superbly situated, 5 mins walk to the surfing beaches and right next to Baleal Paradise Grill which is superb for reasonably priced excellent food. Facilities in the apartment were excellent and the communal pool and added bonus. One of my friends requested a further cover for their duvet, Luciana delivered within 5 mins, now that's service!!We had one of our baggage go missing flying with TAP, with Fernando's help we managed to get the luggage delivered to our door. Otherwise TAP wanted to send it to Peniche bus station! A big thank you to Fernando and Luciana for helping to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We are planning our return next year already and will be hoping to stay again in Caterina House

Wir sind zu 4 im April dort gewesen. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Die Lage ist einfach super. Zudem hat das Haus einen eigenen Zugang zum Strand. Ein paar Meter weiter gibt es eine Bar.

Aufgrund der Lage, kann ich diese Wohnung einfach nur wärmstens empfehlen. Auch die Vermieter sind äußerst freundlich gewesen!!!

This must be the 3rd or 4th time I've used Baleal Rentals - superb location but most importantly you feel really well taken care of - Luciana even gave a lift from the bus station to the house which was really nice. The house is in good condition, clean, spacious; heaters for the chillier nights, a little bit of a sea view and the sound of the sea to remind you you're on holiday... What I like as well is that every time I stay i feel like I'm getting a fair price.

This is a very nice place to stay. We were there with our 4 month old son and our 4 year old daughter. Fernando et Luciana are great hosts and our daughter loved to play with their son. Luciana even made a cake for our daughters birthday :)
The house is really close to the beach and you can go surfing in the backyard. That makes it easy for families since you just have a short walk to the beach.
The house is clean and nice, I'm sure, we will come back.

We stayed here at the end of September, beginning of October. It was the perfect accommodation for our family of four. The children shared a room which they loved, we could have split them up if we'd wanted though. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat all of our meals in. Theres a coffee shop right on the corner that was handy, and just up the road is the mini supermarket. The house has beach access at the back which gives you easy access to Lagide. The best part of the house for me was the upstairs master bedroom balcony. We would put the kids down for an afternoon nap and sit out there an tan in the sun. Its a great place to enjoy an evening beer while watching the sunset as well. I can't wait to go back and I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time in relaxed Baleal at Catarina House for a week in October. You couldn’t find a better location for direct access to the beach and a very short walk to the headland just behind the apartments to check out the surf.
All the rooms in the traditional two storey apartment are a very good size and the apartment was equipped with everything you might need, including washing up liquid, hand wash, herbs and spices in the cupboards which made shopping and meal making very easy. The large front bedroom has a sunny balcony which also has a sea view in the distance, it is at the front by the road though.
There is a great communal garden space with fabulous views of the surf when you’re cooking on the built in barbecues - perfect for shared outdoor eating with our friends staying in one of the other apartments.
Fernando and Luciana were really pleasant, helpful and looked after us very well.
We will be returning to Baleal for another surf trip and definitely be staying with Baleal rentals.

Hemos estado una semana, del 28 de agosto al 4 de septiembre, en Casa Catarina. La casa es perfecta. La cocina muy equipada, no le falta de nada. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y alegres, tiene muchísima luz y acceso directo a la playa. Nos ha encantado. Además, hay muy buen ambiente en la zona y se come muy bien.

Nos ha sido todo mas cómodo y agradable gracias a Luciana que nos ha informado de todo con gran simpatía y amabilidad. El año que viene repetimos.

Logement très bien placé avec accès à la plage, proche des commerces; très bien équipé. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Baleal chez Fernando et Luciana.

We had a blast time at Baleal the waves and the things around where so much fun and we had a great place to rest. We stayed at one of the houses for almost two weeks and we enjoyed it so much. THE PRICE WE PAYED WAS REALLY FAIR especially for a bunch of 18 years old like us. Well, some of would love to live there and the house right at the beach was part of it why they want it so bad... . The house which is set really close to the beach is perfect for motivated surfers who wanna surf alone in the morning.
One of the best parts was the partnership with alexsurfschool which help some of us to pay the vacation because they made a special deal for the surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Btw. Alex is a really cool and fun guy he always was open minded and invited us to a BBQ (cookout) at his house and teach some of us how to surf.

Anyways, we had a awesome trip & time at the house. We might be BACK NEXT YEAR OR THE YEAR AFTER.

Estuvimos varios amigos en la casa y todo estaba super limpio en la llegada. la casa esta en frente del mar y todo es segun las imagenes publicadas, los dueños son una maravilla, te explican todo perfecto y no ponen pegas por nada. Volveremos seguro al igual que ya llevamos haciendo desde hace 3 años a cualquiera de las casas. estas casas son de las mejores de la zona

My third time with Baleal rentals and first time over Christmas and New year. Everything as always very well organized by Fernando and Luciana. The appartment is well located, clean and fully equipped. To me it is a really high standard also because the towels and basic hygiene supplies are provided and cleaning lady comes once a week. I can recommend it as the best value for money in Baleal.

This is the perfect place to stay if you're in Baleal to surf; it's super convenient to the beach and surrounded by surf shops. Would be the perfect place to share with a group of friends. It has a great kitchen, open living room, 3 upstairs bedrooms and 2 full baths. Everything in the house was clean and working well; I have no complaints. They had a useful guide to everything you'd need in the area and were there when we arrived to show us the place. Definitely recommend!

It is a great apartment, clean and super-close to the beach. We came with our 1,5 year old son. Perfect location for children, too. Fernando and his wife were both really nice, helpful and reliable. We highly recommend this place!
